Located in Columbus Junction, this standard deck girder bridge crosses Short Creek.
Built in approximately 1900, the bridge consists of a pair of deck girder spans, set onto concrete substructures. It is possible, and maybe even likely that this bridge was relocated here.
Spans like this were common to replace wooden trestles over larger creeks.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in fair condition. It currently is abandoned.

The author has ranked this bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
